The company was acquired by CNA in 1995. With an experienced management team, CNA National operates as an independent, autonomous subsidiary while enjoying the benefits of belonging to one of the largest insurance entities in the U.S.

Our Culture

CNA National employs over 300 people at our headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, and across the U.S. Many of our employees have tenure of five, 10, 20 and even over 30 years, which speaks to both the quality of our staff as well as to the culture of our corporation.

Product Offerings

CNA National started on the premise of offering the best service contract in the industry, and we continue to make good on that promise to dealers. With a well-established service contract in the field, we began developing and launching other products, including limited warranties, GAP, tire and wheel, applied products and other ancillaries. In all, we offer one of the most robust product portfolios in the industry.

Claims Handling

Because CNA National’s Claims Department has such high levels of service, our dealers rarely have to spend time managing claims.

We have more than 120 employees in the Claims Department, most of whom are full-time phone adjusters. The department has over 200 ASE certifications at various levels, including several ASE Master Technicians.

Because we typically hire people with prior experience as technicians and service advisors, the combined experience level of the department’s personnel is more than 2,100 years of retail dealership service.

Our Claims Department operates so efficiently that we consistently pay claims with a turnaround time of two days or less—and we have same-day claims payment by credit card.

We offer two methods for submitting claims – via phone or online through a custom web portal. Dealers can choose one or both, and service advisors can use whichever system is convenient for them at the time.

Profit Participation

CNA National offers a selection of profit participation structures, including a retro program, CFC (controlled foreign corporation), NCFC (non-controlled foreign corporation) and DOWC (dealer owned warranty company).

Dealers who take part in one of our structures have access to additional third party experts and financial advisors who work directly with CNA National and our clients. These consultants offer years of knowledge and experience with participation programs to help you bolster your portfolio.
